Settlement and population

Abstract

This article deals with the problem of inhabitants and the development of settlement in the area of the former military area Ralsko. Because of this fact some statistical sources were hard to find and some were not possible to find at all. The article summarizes the development of this space from the historical point of view - the influence of the establishment and closure of the military area on the changes in demographic structure and the present situation of the communities.
