The presence of feelings of well-being at work contribute to the development of positive emotions, greater work productivity and better business results. Considering the importance of this variable for both the employee and for the company, this study aimed to assess the level of well-being at work of public employees of the City Hall of Cerro Largo through the use of questionnaires to 163 employees. The results reveal that the employees have positive levels of job satisfaction, work involvement and affective organizational commitment contributing to the favorable perception about well-being at work. We noted also a strong association between the factors, satisfaction, involvement, affective commitment and well-being at work, indicating the need for managers to develop policies for the valorization of employees in order to make employees more satisfied, involved and emotionally connected with the organization, given his close relationship with the perception of well-being in the workplace.
