Abstract

In article number 2008278, Vanessa Sanchez, Conor J. Walsh, and Robert J. Wood review the state of the art in textile‐based wearable robots. The application areas for textile robots and their diverse needs drive materials innovations for textile actuators, sensors, and integration elements. Advances in materials and production technologies suggest a future of additively manufactured wearables where function is programmed at the fiber and fabric level.
