Abstract
The sleep apnoea syndrome is a particularly common health problem associated with increased cardiovascular morbidity and mortality, as well as harmful socioeconomical and familial complications. In this article, the diagnostic and therapeutic role of cardiac pacing in this syndrome is discussed. © 2006 Oxford University Press.
