Abstract

Antileishmanial activity of several classes of natural compounds was evaluated by using an in vitro parasitic assay model. This has led to the discovery of new antileishmanial agents with potential to be useful in the treatment of visceral and cutaneous leishmaniasis. © 2008 IUPAC.
