Abstract
This report examines the fission process, the nuclear fuel cycle, uranium ore resources and mining, the fuel element in the reactor, fuel reprocessing, nuclear waste handling, current reactor design in the U. S. , a cost comparison between nuclear and fossil fuels, and, the various types of reactors.
