Abstract
Textures and garnet zoning patterns record a prograde-retrograde-prograde metamorphic history in late Proterozoic to Cambrian chlorite-chloritoid schists in the Jamaica area of the east flank of the Green Mountains massif. Garnet zoning anomalies are attributed to partial resorption of first-stage garnet during a retrogressive phase that preceded second-stage prograde garnet growth.-M.S.
