Abstract

Food sovereignty is the right of nations and peoples to independently determine food policy that guarantees the right to food for the people and which give the right for the public todetermine the food system in accordance with the potential of local resources. Food sovereignty is a concept ofthe right to food is a good nutritional quality and culturally appropriate, produced by sustainable agricultural systems and environmentally friendly. Food sovereignty is also the fulfillment of the human right to determine own food and agriculture system sthat put more emphasis on family-based agriculture that is based on the principle of solidarity. According to the National Land Agen-cyof the Republic of Indonesia (BPN RI), one of the purposes of the implementation of agrarian reformis to improve food security and energy society. Successful agrarian reform and tenuremarked by certainty which ensures livelihood and employment opportunities for farmers, land-useland that is able toimprove the management of natural resources and preservation of the quality of the environment, food sovereignty, productivity capabilities that can make farming families were ableto reinvest and have high purchasing power.
