Abstract

Manufacturing industries are often exploring to enhance different approaches to minimize cost, energy and spread their capability throughout the globe. Additive manufacturing is where it produces components ranging from a toy to a turbine" It is a manufacturing process aimed at producing parts in layers successively one upon other from a 3 dimensional digital model through steps using software, slicing and other processes. Choosing the most suitable Additive Manufacturing (AM) process for a particular application can be challenging. Among the types of additive manufacturing, Direct Energy Deposition (DED) designs a 3 dimensional product by melting metal which is deposited, is termed as direct metal deposition. The instinctive features and the guarantee qualities of Direct Metal Deposition could be used for a solution in upgradation and the viability in the production operation. Concepts and features of the Direct Metal Deposition are checked. Sequentially significant opportunities in the DMD process also future development research ideas in the DMD process are discussed.
