Abstract
This article has two main goals: (1) to present the capacity of our computer assisted planning software to show the spatial relationship between a brain tumor and its neighboring arteries through 3D views, as an important advantage for the neurosurgeon during surgical approach planning, and (2) to generate geometrical models of brain tumors using a novel technique based on Support Vector Machines (SVM), to provide a better tridimensional perception and understanding of them. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2007.
