Abstract

Caprodon longimanus Günther, 1859; Hypoplectrodes semicinctum Valenciennes, 1833 and Plectranthias lamillai Rojas y Pequeño (1998) (Pisces: Serranidae: Anthiinae) represents new records for Alejandro Selkirk Island ichthyofauna (33°46'S, 80°46'W Juan Fernández Archipelago). The morphometric characteristics of each species is compared with bibliographic data and specimens preserved in differents museums and collections.The distribution of H. semicinctum is Eastern Island, Desventuradas Islands and Juan Fernández Archipelago. P. lamillai, is known only of Alejandro Selkirk Island. Caprodon longimanus has a wide distribution in the Pacific, with previous records in Australia, New Zealand, Hawaiians Islands, Formosa, Korea, Japan, Lord Howe Islands, Tuamotu Islands, Kermadec Islands, Easter Island, Desventuradas Island and Juan Fernández Archipelago. The origin, distribution and ichthyogeographic relationships of these species with other Zoogeographie areas are discussed.
