Abstract

The primary objective of this research paper is to understand ethics in organizational communication. Within various types of organizations, it is apparent that the members need to possess adequate knowledge in terms of job duties, work towards up-gradation of their competencies and abilities, form amiable terms and relationships with others and contribute effectively towards the formation of pleasant environment within the workplace. Apart from these factors, they need to be well-aware in terms of ethics. Ethics are regarded as principles, values, morals and beliefs, which render a significant contribution in enriching the overall lives of the individuals. The members of the organizations are adults and they are normally well-aware that they need to put into operation ethics in organizational communication to promote well-being and goodwill. When the individuals put these into operation in organizations, they are able to not only form sociable and cordial terms and relationships with other members, but also achieve organizational goals and upgrade the overall structure of the organization. Therefore, the individuals need to put emphasis upon reinforcement of ethics throughout their lives, irrespective of categories and backgrounds. Furthermore, they need to focus upon the measures to reinforce ethics within homes, educational institutions, organizations and other places. The main areas that have been taken into account in this research paper include, meaning and significance of ethics in organizational communication, ethical communication strategies in organizations, and measures to reinforce ethics in organizational communication.
