Abstract
The impelementation of Arabic Learning in the higher education are not dominated by the certain method. Mixing and turnovering learning method has been a common while formulating the lesson plan for one semester. Direct Method which is used to gain speaking competence had been turned over the domination of Audio Lingual Method , despite the implementation isn’t spread evenly in all Islamic university. Then The Aural-oral Approach came to be the most effective with its linguistical tenets. The newest is the Eclectic Method which is supposed to be implemented frequently because it gives discretion to the lecturer using whatever method he likes and masters, also it is based on the students need. However there are so many inovative method in learning language (Arabic) such as Suggestophedia, Totall Phisycal Respons and The Silent Way , but it is not widely used by the most of lecturers.
