Abstract

Objective: To establish the relationship between the work environment and the teaching performance of the Francisco García Jiménez Educational Unit, Guayaquil. Materials and Methods: It is a study with a quantitative approach to correlational design. The sample was 128 teachers, to whom two questionnaires were applied. The SPSS statistic was used, with a margin of error of 5%. Results: The general hypothesis established a correlation of Rho = .845 where the organizational climate affects the teaching performance that is considered to be adequate to the needs of the students. The specific hypotheses found correlations of Rho = .622, Rho = .560, Rho = .740 and Rho = .535 show the level of correlation between the organizational climate and the dimensions preparation and development of education, creating favorable environments for student learning, Teaching for student learning and teacher professionalism, whose majority consider affirming their agreement in their application form, although in some aspects they are relative. Conclusion: The relationship between study variables is confirmed, which warns that the study population is often in accordance with the organizational climate, despite the fact that in motivational aspects they are poorly valued; influencing the teaching performance indicating agree, although there is also minimal disagreement in the development of their functions. Therefore, we conclude that total satisfaction with respect to the variables is not achieved due to the minimum disagreements present in the study institution.
