Abstract

We report a case of avulsion of the triceps brachii tendon in a patient with secondary hyperparathyroidism due to hemodialysis. A convulsion led to a stress rupture of the tendon, already weakened by degenerative changes. After surgical repair the patient regained nearly normal range of motion and strength. © 1987 Informa UK Ltd All rights reserved: reproduction in whole or part not permitted.
