Abstract

This article provides a brief overview of the diagnosis and management of selected primary care issues that are common to CKD and ESRD patients. The elements of diagnosis and management unique to kidney patients and controversies and updates in management will be presented. The topics reviewed are neuropathy, pruritus, zoster, hyperuricemia, gout, and gastroparesis. © 2014 National Kidney Foundation, Inc.
