Abstract

The hydrolytic stability of the sterically protected dichlorosilane (Mes*-O)2SiCl2 was investigated. The resulting products have been identified by electrospray mass spectrometry and, in the case of (Mes*-O)2Si(OH)2, the crystal structure was obtained. Copyright © 2006 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
