On vocabulary presentation modes in college English teaching and learning

Abstract

Vocabulary is one of the most indispensable components in a language. The most important way teachers use to teach new vocabularies is vocabulary presentation mode, and how the new vocabularies are presented in English teaching and learning will have a great influence on the students' EFL vocabulary retention. This paper mainly elaborates the researches on some effective vocabulary presentation modes abroad and at home in order to help college students master vocabulary presentation modes so that they can learn the new vocabularies efficiently, and improve English vocabulary teaching and learning level. © 2014 Academy Publisher Manufactured In Finland.
