Abstract

Project Based Learning (PBL) has been applied by Music teachers in Secondary Education in order to enhance the students' motivation to learn music, and so as to use the subject as a trigger for the natural talents of each and every student. The aim of this article is to analyze the performance of PBL in Music lessons (Secondary Education), which was implemented during 2018 in IES Sa Blanca Dona, in Ibiza. Based on a brief literature review on the application of PBL in the music classroom, a repeated-measures design was used in this study describing the relationship between the levels of student motivation and the teaching - learning model. Through quantitative and qualitative analysis, we verified that the implementation of said instructional method enhances students' motivation. Consequently they increase their degree of satisfaction during the learning process, improve their grades and develop relational skills.
