Abstract

We give elementary geometric proofs of the structure theorems for the (small) quantum cohomology of partial flag varieties SL ⁡ ( n ) / P \operatorname {SL}(n)/P , including the quantum Pieri and quantum Giambelli formulas and the presentation.
