Abstract

In this essay, which is divided into three parts, we attempt to distinguish the concept of lie/manipulation of post-truth. Beginning with Plato's Hippias Minor and ending with Donald Trump, we discuss the consequences and dangers of post-truth for journalism and information, in particular, as well as for res publica and democracy.
