Abstract

Oral squamous cell carcinoma in young people: a case report. The increase of oral and oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma among young people has been demonstrated worldwide. Major risk factors like tobacco and alcohol are not etiologic factors in young patients. A new case of lingual squamous cell carcinoma is reported in a 21-year-old woman. The clinical appearance was that of a small and persistent painful ulceration on the left lateral border of the tongue. Partial glossectomy of the mobile tongue has allowed a complete remission. © SFCO, 2012.
