Abstract

Duku leaves typical of Komering Ilir have several secondary metabolites that have potential as biological activity, one of which is as an antioxidant. This study aimed to analyze the antioxidant activity of duku leaf extract ((Lansium parasiticum (Osbeck) K.C Sahni & Bennet) K.C Sahni & Bennet) based on differences in polar solvents. The extraction method used was maceration in ethanol, methanol, and water as solvents. Determination of antioxidant activity used the DPPH method (2,2 diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) with quercetin as the standard solution. The results showed that the IC50 value in the water extract of duku leaves was 1,114 ppm with inactive antioxidant levels. The IC50 value of the methanol extract in duku leaves was found to be 508 ppm with an inactive antioxidant level, and the IC50 value of the duku leaf extract was 788 ppm with an inactive antioxidant category.
