Abstract

The process of increasing expansion and privatization in the field of higher education is characterized by complex dynamics, particularly concerning the materialization of distance education (DE), with emphasis on the intricate process of regulatory flexibilization demanded by the private sector, which has led to the logic adopted by the federal government of sidelining the National Education Plan (PNE). The naturalization of regulatory flexibility will accelerate the process of private expansion of distance education in higher education, as evidenced by the educational indicators, combined with the absence of effective quality parameters. This article aims to understand and unravel this process.
