Tocoyena bullata (Vell.) Mart. (Rubiaceae). Anatomia foliar

Abstract

Resumo No presente trabalho, o autor contribui para o conhecimento da anatomia da folha Tocoyena bullata (Vell.) Mart., destacando a ocorrência de emergência de coléter na estipula, estômato do tipo paracítico, mesofilo dorsiventral e feixes vasculares do tipo colateral. O sistema vascular adquire formato circular na lâmina foliar ou no pecíolo, envolvendo ocasionalmente pequenos feixes medulares neste último. Idioblastos taníferos e cristalíferos encontram-se distribuídos pelo parênquima fundamental da estipula, pecíolo, nervura mediana e no clorênquima do mesofilo.Abstract In this report, the author contributes to the knowledge of the leaf anatomy of Tocoyena bullata (Vell.) Mart. He points out the occurrence of emergency and colleter in the stipule, paracytic type stomata, dorsiventral mesophyll and colateral vascular bundles. The vascular system acquires a ring shape in the leaf blade or in the petiole, occasionally enclosing a few small medullary strands in the latter. Tannin and crystal idioblasts can be found in fundamental parenchyma of stipule, petiole, midrib and in the chlorenchyma of mesophyll.
