Abstract

Novel derivatives of diphenyl ether scaffold were synthesized and evaluated for the antitubercular activity. All the synthesized molecules were characterized by spectral analysis. Evaluation of antitubercular activity of the molecules by Microplate Alamar Blue Assay (MABA) showed less to moderate activity in comparison with Triclosan. All the molecules exhibited an acceptable safety profile in the MTT assay against vero and HepG2 cell lines.Copyright © 2014 iGlobal Research and Publishing Foundation.
