Abstract

The study focuses on tourism development in the Arctic on the example of Murmansk Region, Russia, and Norway. The study quantified the tourism industry in Murmansk Region and Norway, proposed a tourism development model in the form of a system of econometric equations, estimated prospects for the Arctic tourism in Norway using the above-mentioned model, analysed positive developments in Norwegian tourism, and presented recommendations aimed at improving Arctic tourism in Murmansk Region, Russia.
