Cambios históricos en el paisaje de Cuenca, siglos XIX-XX

Abstract

Este artículo analiza la génesis del paisaje urbano de Cuenca. Se destacan los ele-mentos patrimoniales, los procesos de crecimiento y de expansión, y los cam-bios en su paisaje urbano entre los siglos XIX y XX. Utiliza el enfoque de la geo-grafía histórica y de la geografía del paisaje y sus metodologías. Estudia la per-cepción que la población tiene del territorio, el plano urbano, la arquitectura y los usos del suelo. La investigación incorpora, además, un registro fotográfico de las principales edificaciones que conforman el patrimonio arquitectónico cuen-cano. ABSTRACT This artic1e analyzes the genesis of the urban Cuencan landscape. The patrimo-nial elements, the growth and expansion processes, and the changes in its urban landscape between the 19 th and 20 th centuries are highlíghted. The study utilizes the optic of historical geography and the geography of the landscape and its methodologies. It studies the perception that the population controls the terrí-tory, the urban map, the architecture and the land. In addition, the research incorporates a photographic register of the principal buildings that compose the Cuenca n architectural patrimony.
