Abstract

The mechanism of the initialization-free phase-change optical disk was discussed. The computer simulation about the optical and thermal properties of the initialization-free disk was carried out. The results showed that Sb2Te3 film was a suitable additional layer of initialization-free phase-change optical disk for Ge2Sb2+xTe5 phase-change media.
