Abstract
Abstract Colombian microenterprises are experiencing various economic difficulties, mainly in terms of their profits. That is why they continuously make efforts to look for the best strategies to increase their benefits, such as investing in technology and formalizing their legal aspects. The main objective of this research was to determine the relationship between information and communication technologies and formality versus the profits generated by Colombian microenterprises. For this purpose, a non-experimental, cross-sectional and correlational methodology with a quantitative approach was used, where a secondary source of information was used to develop correlation models of Mann-Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis H and generalized multiple linear regression models. The main conclusions allow us to affirm that if microenterprises invest in information and communication technologies and seek to improve their levels of formality, they can also increase their profits.
