Open ITS to the Next

Abstract

The 20 ITS World Congress Tokyo 2013 is going to be held in this October under the theme of "Open ITS to the Next". Next-generation ITS will address a variety of traffic-related issues, including the environment, energy, safety and efficiency. In addition, it will contribute to enhance quality of life while answering society's need for accurate and prompt responses to disasters and other unexpected events. ITS is required to be the base for offering opportunities to the players across the fields in global scale, and bring the network society with a common platform structure to enhance the local/regional collaboration.
