Abstract

In the present investigation the methanol ext. of Cayratia trifolia (Linn.) Domin stem was used for the isolation of phytoconstituents by using column chromatog. The identification of the isolated constituents was done by using spectroscopicanal. Five new compds. namely are ntetradecanyl n-octadec-9, 12-dienoate, n-tridecanyl n-octadec-9, 12-dienoate, n-hexadecanyl n-octadec-9, 12- dienoate, n-tetradecanyl n-octadec-9-enoate and n-hexadecanyl n-octadec-9-enoate were isolated and identified from theplant.
