The education of students with characteristics of giftedness continues to challenge educators and legislators in different countries. Despite the differences between societies in terms of political, economic and cultural, and although there is no consensus about a single methodology to meet the educational needs of gifted students, several programs for identifying and monitoring have been developed. The purpose of this paper is to describe the Odisseia school enrichment program, designed as a program that seeks to promote diverse experiences for students of the 2nd cycle of basic education in order to express and to develop their skills and talents. This enrichment program was first implemented in the school years 2004/06 in a private school in the District of Porto, there are other full or partial implementations later in other schools. Alongside the organizational structure of the sessions throughout the program, describes the internal structure of some sessions, highlighting the dynamics of them and the procedures followed to maximize the involvement of students in the proposed activities. Are also described, examples of concrete activities and strategies followed in its implementation, and results achieved. (English) [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
