Abstract
Entrepreneurshipis viewed as an opportunity to drive growth and to help employment in many countries. However, women venturing to establish their own firm depend on socio-cultural conditions and of societal encouragement. This article showed that women entrepreneurs in transition, developing and developed economies have many similarities, but they differ in many aspects such as in their motivation to become an entrepreneur and the problems solving skills.
