Abstract

In this paper, the spatiotemporal dynamics of a diffusive Leslie-Gower predator-prey model with prey refuge are investigated analytically and numerically. Mathematical theoretical works have considered the existence of global solutions, population permanence and the stability of equilibrium points, which depict the threshold expressions of some critical parameters. Numerical simulations are performed to explore the pattern formation of species. These results show that the prey refuge has a profound effect on predator-prey interactions and they have the potential to be useful for the study of the entropy theory of bioinformatics. © 2013 by the authors; licensee MDPI, Basel, Switzerland.
