Goldmann e o estruturalismo genético

Abstract

Resumo: O presente artigo é resultante de palestra proferida pelo Professor Michael Löwy na PUC-SP em 1985 sobre a obra de Goldmann, em particular do conceito de estruturalismo genético, inspirado na obra de Marx, para designar o método dialético. O estruturalismo genético é um conceito amplo, compreendido enquanto método que busca analisar totalidades estruturadas, e observar qual é a dialética entre o todo e as partes. Goldmann foi influenciado pela obra de Lukács, pela epistemologia genética de Piaget, enfatizando o processo histórico de constituição do objeto na sua totalidade e de constituição de sujeitos coletivos, na qual as classes sociais apresentam centralidade. O conceito tem aplicação no terreno particular da cultura, mas também como definição de método das ciências sociais e de aplicação em todos os terrenos do conhecimento social.Abstract: The present article results from a lecture given by professor Michael Löwy at PUC-SP in 1985. The lecture was about Goldmann's works, particularly about the concept of genetic structuralism, inspired by Marx's work, to designate the dialectical method. Genetic structuralism, a broad concept, is understood as a method that seeks to analyze structured totalities, and to observe which the dialectic between the whole and the parts is. Goldmann was influenced by both Lukács's works and Piaget's genetic epistemology. Genetic structuralism emphasizes the historical process of the constitution of the object in its totality, and of the collective subjects'constitution, in which the social classes show centrality. The concept is applied in the particular field of culture, but also as definition of the Social Science method, and it is applied in every field of social knowledge.
