Abstract
The anesthesiological consequences of myotonia atrophica (myotonic spasm after depolarizing muscle relaxants, respiratory depression after thiopental) are discussed. A case of a woman who had to undergo 2 subsequent anesthetics (the first for cesarean section, the second for hysterectomy because of uncontrollable hemorrhage from the atonic uterus) is described.
