Procedures are given for constructing an instrument capable of measuring without difficulty and quickly the magnetic susceptibility anisotropy of rock specimens at the 10-8 Gauss Oe-1 level. A 3,000 c/sec alternating magnetic field of 1 Oe R.M.S. is employed, and results are recorped automatically.
