Abstract

Genus Phaeoclavulina groups together approximately 41 species, of which 35 form ramarioid basidiomes. In Mexico, only 3 of these species were reported previously. In this work, a taxonomic examination of the genus was achieved; reviewing material collected by the authors as well as specimens from several Mexican herbaria and reference materials from TENN herbarium. A total of 12 taxa are described and illustrated along with a key for its determination. In addition, relevant taxonomic and geographic distribution issues are discussed. The species Phaeoclavulina argentea, P. articulotela, P. cokeri, P. campoi, P. decurrens, P. gigantea, P. longicaulis, P. roellinii y P. zippelii are new records for Mexico.
