Abstract
This paper attempts to reveal the main aspects of the production of the urban space of São Paulo. Our central hypothesis is that the industrial activity tends to leave the municipality of São Paulo, which has increasingly become a "command center" of the national economy, attracting corporate headquarters and banking services. This has given rise to a spatial restructuring based on the coalition between the real estate sector, the financial sector and the state.
