Abstract

The objective of present study was to evaluate the corn crop in respect to the production and biometry under drip irrigation system with saline waters at lysimeter station of drainage. The treatments consisted of two levels of water salinity (CEa - 1.2 and 3.3 dS m-1) and five leaching fractions (LF - 0, 5, 10, 15 and 20%), in a completely randomized experimental design (2 × 5 factorial). The experiment was conducted at the Department of Rural Technology of the UFRPE, Recife/PE. The productivity of hydrated and dried pulp and of weight of cob with and without husks, fresh and dry matter of the aerial parts, stem diameter and height of plant were evaluated. The productivity of hydrated pulp and the fresh and dry matter of the aerial parts presented high values when water of 3.3 dS m-1 was used with leaching fraction of 10%, obtaining decreasing effect with the increase of the leaching fraction.
