Abstract

The advantages of digital filters and reasons for their increasing application are given. The restricted bandwidth problem in microprocessor-based digital filters and previous approaches to overcoming this problem are discussed. Finally, a flexible, high-speed implementation employing AM2900 bit-slice devices and a TRW multiplier is presented. © 1981, The Institution of Electrical Engineers. All rights reserved.
