Abstract

This article discusses the Preparing Future Faculty (PFF) and the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) programs at the University of Kansas which have been found to provide fertile ground for collaboration on a cluster of issues related to scholarly communication. The PFF program is a national movement to transform the way aspiring faculty members are prepared for their careers. The RCR is an umbrella term used to describe instruction for graduate students in the physical and life sciences on a range of topics.
