Abstract

Ovarian cancer is the eighth malignant neoplasm most often diagnosed in women in Brazil and the fifth leading cause of death from cancer in women. According to the National Institute of Cancer (INCA), in 2013, there were 3,283 deaths reported related to ovarian cancer in Brazil.
