Abstract
This paper gives a brief review of congenital hypertrophic pyloric stenosis with a report on 441 consecutive cases coming to operation at The Hospital for Sick Children during 1957-60. The pathology, pathological physiology, and clinical features and preoperative treatment are outlined. The anaesthetic management of these cases is discussed in detail and our results reported. © 1963 Canadian Anesthesiologists.
