Abstract

Biomarkers are essential for assessment of oxidative stress and evaluation of antioxidant capacity in vivo. Total hydroxyoctadecadienoic acid (HODE) and7-hydroxycholesterol measured after reduction and saponification of biological fluids may be used as reliable biomarker.
