Abstract

Now days Natural fibre reinforced composites have created too much attraction to the researchers and having a wide range of research area for designing the new materials. The development of natural fibres as a reinforcing elements in composite materials have concerned attention of scientists and researchers due to eco-friendly with nature and improved better mechanical performance and also possess renewability, and sustainability with acceptable specific strength. In this Paper corncob husk filler as reinforcement and epoxy resin as matrix are used to fabricate composite material specimens with six different percentages of filler by weight variation and investigate the various mechanical properties like tensile and flexural properties at three different cross speeds. From the experimental results it was observed that the mechanical properties are increasing with increase in % of filler loading by weight up to fixed limits and then gradually decrease. It also analyzed that as the cross speed increases tensile strength and strain is decreasing for the same % of filler loading specimens. Finally compare the various mechanical properties results from different % variation of filler at different cross speeds and analyzed the microstructure behavior and bonding properties of the corncob filler epoxy composites with the help of scanning electron microscope.
