Abstract

The use of systems prototypes is discussed, and their advantages and disadvantages are examined. This is followed by an examination of the issues raised when prototyping is integrated into the systems development cycle. One way of achieving this is suggested. The proposed development cycle has the advantage that it forces the analyst to consider the benefits of building a systems prototype.
