Abstract
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a tough challenge for Low to lower-middle income countries, including Indonesia. At the regional level, the achievement of the goals in the SDGs is interconnected and affects each other, so it requires a massive and comprehensive approach to achieve it. The purpose of this study is to analyze the prevalence rate of stunting in Yogyakarta Province, which is the poorest province on the island of Java according to the BPS version. The research uses a qualitative descriptive method. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. The method and approach were chosen because they focused on a specific problem, so that the problem to be studied could be expressed in detail and factually. The data analysis technique uses an interactive model as Middle to high income countries by Miles and Huberman. In conclusion, this study found data that, although Yogyakarta Province was declared the poorest province on the island of Java based on data reported by BPS, based on the results of the Indonesian Nutrition Status Study (SSGI), the prevalence of stunting in the Special Region of Yogyakarta decreased in 2022 by 0.9%, to 16.4% compared to 2021, which was 17.3%. This finding shows that even though it is declared a poor province, it turns out that the stunting prevalence rate in Yogyakarta Province is lower than the national stunting prevalence rate.
