Abstract

Rubber trees (Hbvea brasiliensis) in Cambodia are lmportant sources for not only natural rubber but alse weod products. Ihis study was conductcd to set up stem volume equations to estlmate the stand velume and the vo}ume increment for rubber trees in Cambodia. Krek Rubber P]antation located in Kompong Cham Province was selected for study area Sixty trees of the clene PRI07 at the age of 36, 44, 45 and 46 were felled and cut into segments oi one meter long to formulate the volume equation. [[he DBH and total height of 450 standing trees (15 plots) at different ages and (610 36- 48) were rneasured to estimate volume per hectare and the mean annual increment (MAI). Ihis study revealed that the volurne equation for standing rubber trees clone PRI07 is V= O.OOO18381 D2・2S96i H"・i5S34 or v =O.00024884 D2'2D535 where Vis the over bark vo]ume (m"), D is diameter breast at height (cm), H is tota] height (m). Using the twe-variable equation, at the rotation length of 25-30 years was estimated at rubber wood volume about 240 - 270mU ha i with the MAI of 9.33 m3 ha'i yr'`.
